about 32 to 34 minutes. >> it is another chilly start and we are in the upper 20s for santa rosa and novato. it is pretty mild around the city is currently 36 degrees in hayward. we do have some fog to contend with perry ed the visibility is down to 2 1/2 hours for santa rosa perry ed we saw an instance of freezing and that happened reform o'clock p.m. hour. this is very rare and it is not common for us to see this. this is just something interesting for you to know. visibility is f 5 mi. for hayward. the fog will burn off as we head into the afternoon. future cast forestay set at 8:00 a.m. it will be in the upper 40's for most of us. as we pushed the clock and the motion will be 50s and 60s by lunchtime. >> afternoon highs will be pleasant and san jose will be is 64 degrees 57 degrees for san francisco. high pressure is in control and will continue to skid off for the weekend perry ed. it wie clear and sunday and there will be an instance of fog. expect some rain and cooler temperatures but overall the weekend looks pretty good. this is your bay area forecast let's go to tahoe.

but very cold temperatures now. 31 in gilroy, 35 in san jose, 39 in oakland, 30 in santa rosa. we're expecting to see a bright day, lots of sunshine, going to warm us quickly, just as many of us got close to 0 degrees yesterday we're looking at a similar situation today, santa cruz at 71 degrees, our warm spot with the strong offshore flow. san francisco at 69 and same for oakland and san jose at 68. there is one word of caution, there is a high surf advisory this weekend so with the warm temperatures you may be tempted to get out to the beach. definitely avoid prolonged periods of turning your back on the beach. we're expecting swells, chris, up to 20 to 30 feet. the mavericks are taking place tomorrow so if you are going to be spectating, use extreme caution and remember the swells can come 20 to 30 seconds and this means that a lot of that pullback into the ocean you may just think it's over but once the waves come back it's very strong. >> don't turn your back, watch over the kids and the pets. thank you, anthony. >>> to a developing story involving the 49ers, the investigatio

rosa, it's 54 in mount a diablo -- mt. diablo. i warming -- a warming pattern continue, especially coast and bay. it's a dry forecast until maybe wednesday. not everybody is on board with that. one forecast is. patchy fog. other than that, it will be hazy, sun, mild to warm. i think on the weekend it looks really quiet until early next. some areas have a tough time warming up past the upper 50s. that would be fairfield, clearlake, 65. novato, st. helena, 59 antioch and brentwood. pittsburg, 61. 68 gilroy. 65 at half moon bay. flies on the coast in san francisco -- nice on the coast in san francisco. menlo park, mountain view at 64. it looks good all the way in the weekend. we'll continue that -- we'll continue that tuesday. >>> a spare the air alert is in effect for the bay area. that means wood fires are illegal in fireplaces, stoves or outer to fire pits. if you are caught violating the ban you are required to take a class or pay a fine. a second violation is a $500 ticket. sonoma county leads the bay area in complaints. there were 110 wood-burning violations in sonoma county las

first, let us take a look at the temperatures. 40's in santa rosa. 40's for half moon bay. and no20's through napa. we did see some of that freezing fog. s for fairfield, 28. concord, pleasanton, upper 30's and all of the east bayshore. and as for the afternoon high temperatures. upper 60s and a number of places like los gatos. 66 in cupertino. and for the inland valleys will see even though 60621 concord. and plenty of 60s for the east bayshore. and for the north bay. san francisco, ocean beach plenty of low 60s through the north bay. a look at your extended forecast. with warm weather for the next several days. for the middle of next week a chance of showers. very slight. 415 area code users may havethe latest on the proposal, what it means for you, and reaction - after the break. she will soon have company when rosa parks completes her journey from the back of the bus to the front of statuary hall later this year. [ applause ] now, we look around and remember the men and women who helped define our nation. they like us, they face obstacles and they like us worked hard to move in country forward. here in this hall four presidents took the oath of office. here abraham lincoln served his single term in congress and john quincy adams, the only former president to return to serve in the house spoke out against slavery. today we also remember an event that took place outside this building, but reverberated from within. this year marks the 50th anniversary of the reverend martin luther king jr.'s march on washington which spurred passage of the historic civil rights law. we're honored to have with us a colleague, congressman john lewis who was a speaker at that historic march.
